How God can open doors for those who choose to walk through to reach His children no matter where they are, no matter how old or young they may be. This is the story of our first outreach as a life group. Our life group had been meeting for sometime now and I don’t know who had the idea, but someone said what can we do more as a life group? Everyone started passing around several different ideas of things we could do. Someone mentioned the idea of a outreach to nursing homes. We all agreed that would be awesome to do. I mentioned that I have a small pocket cross that I had been using for many years and my wife and I could put some of them together for the outreach. Well our life group leader contacted a nursing home and found out how many patients where there so I knew how many to make. On April 8, 2017 was a day that I will never forget. We all split into groups and went on our way to spread the love of Jesus. We prayed with and over each patient, and some were so excited to see us they just wanted to talk and talk. Then there were some who started to cry when we handed them the cross. In some cases I had no words to say just tears. Honestly for God to give me a chance to experience His love to pass from His hands, to my hands, to the patients hands in some cases it was overwhelming for me. I think by the time we finished we had passed out 90 pocket crosses and the patients love them. Our group met in the front area of the nursing home and took this group picture and shared some of their stories with each other. Before we left we prayed over this place and the patients. First picture is of the pocket cross that we passed out. Second is the group photo. My prayer is to reach as many people as possible with my father’s cross. Have a blessed day
